Week -#74 I literally cried, I love President Rodrigues

Hola Mom!
this week was crazy busy. We are the only trio here in The mission so the assistants use us a lot for divisions. I went to Oceania with Elder Flores this week. It was a good experience to catch up with him from when we were in Guadalupe together. He said that he has seen a lot of growth and progress in me since like 4 months ago. So thats good. haha
I also had my last interview with President Rodriguez this week. I literally cried. He has been the best mission president that a man could ask for. I really hope that he continues having success in his like when he moves to Veracruz for his next assignment.
Im also excited that I get to prepare for the new mission president to come. Im sure that he is a great and inspired man. Im grateful for that leaders that God has put in my life and for all of the help that they have given me.

So I had a good week getting to know my companions and also getting to know the area. This week we will be doing some divisions witht the district leaders.
We should also be baptising this week and the next week so I am super excited about that.

Ramos Arizpe is a really cool place. Its so close to Saltillo but its so different. The people here have a small town type of an attitude even though its pretty big here. This week we struggled taking investigators to church because it was stake conference. The problem is that the stake conference was all the way in Saltillo and nobody wanted to go haha
But now that it is going to be back here in Ramos next week I am hoping that a lot more people go.

Ps.
I sold the 2 suits from when I came. I sold them to Elder Hall from Utah. They simply didnt fit me anymore and he needed them.
They were also way to heavy to be hauling around all the time. The third one was trashed, so it ended up in the garbage. haha.
Now I have 2

Anyways Im glad to hear from you. Have a great week!
love Elder Stockman

Wow Dad your Old. 28 years ago you came back from Bolivia. I cant beleive that!
Sounds like its a pretty crazy week back there at home. Im glad that im in Mexico.

SO this last week I had a blast getting to know my new companions, and getting to know the ward and the area. Its a really cool place in all senses of the word. There is a train that passes by close to the house like every 15 minutes. Its really fun! haha I have actually gotten used to it and now it doesnt wake me up at night.

This week I had my last interview with President Rodriguez. Its sad to think that he is leaving but im excited for what will come. He only has one transfer left and then in his last transfer he will do a goodbye type of thing or a ferewel i guess you would call it. He is excited. haha. He is going to continue working in the seminary and institute of the church in Veracruz. I realize that I will be home in just a little bit more than 6 months.

anyways I hope that you have a safe trip and that you enjoy the sacred grove. Love you

Week -#73 guess what... I bought 2 new suits.

Look what I found! Wooooo!

My new Companions (left to right) Elder Domiciano and Elder Villeda.
Elder Villeda and I are Zone leaders.

This Train????

Hey momma!
So its going pretty good here in Ramos Arizpe. Its been real fun to get to know Elder Villeda and Elder Domiciano. We find that our teaching together is actually pretty powerful. The Area is super cool! its a really great place and its a lot less hot than Acuña. Its one if coolest temperatures in the mission supposedly.
There are a lot of people here that we are teaching and we are expecting to have a couple more baptisms here. The members here help us a lot. They are really supportive and its a drastic difference from Acuña haha

I honestly cant believe that Abbie is graduating from Highschool.

I feel like the food here in Ramos Arizpe is a lot different. Its because in Acuña there was pure meat. I think that once in my three months there they gave me salad once. Here there is a lot more vegetables and it makes me feel better.

Oh by the way. I bought 2 new suits because it was a serious need. My suit was super sun stained and it was shredded from ware and tare. Thanks for having that money there to help out.
The people here are a lot different then my last area. but its cool and the majority of the people are pretty accepting.

Anyways I hope that you have a great week!
love

Hey Dad,
So this week it was a long trip from Acuña to Saltillo. haha. The funny thing is that I had just went to Saltillo the week before. I was pretty wiped out at the beginning of the week. But I agree I dont want to see the inside of a bus for a while.

Thats crazy though, it seems like you are traveling a lot more than you did before. i hope that everything goes well fro you in Puerto Rico.
Hopefully that when you go to New York you can share the gospel with that person who you said. Its a great missionary opporotunity. Afterall us missionaries cant do much without the members.

I would be happy to share foreign travel notes with you one day. It will give you a kick. but the busses here are actually pretty modern tour buses. they arent the super crazy bus that you are imagining with chickens and goats and stuff. Those are the busses within the city. The ones from one city to another have reclinable chairs, and movies. haha

Cant believe that Abbie is going to graduate highschool. That blows my mind to think aswell that I graduated 2 years ago.

So far I am really loving the new area. Its a lot cooler than Acuña. its supposedly onw of the coolest places in the mission. I refer to cool as in temperature.

The area and the ward are super on fire. we are working really well with the members right now. I hope to see a lot of success this transfer. Republica is a really cool zone.

Anyways have a great week!
love you

So there was transfers. I will be going to Ramos Arizpe, which is a city that is right next to Saltillo. I will be going with Elder Villeda. Im super Excited!
Elder Villeda is from Los Angeles California. I actually know him he has been in a couple of the same zones as I have and I know him from the leadership conferences.
So we will actually be in a trio with Elder Domiciano, he is from Brazil. I also sort of know him but just from sight. I know he speaks spanish with a brazilian accent. haha
Im super pumped. I get to go to the coldest part of the mission for the hottest part of the year, haha the lord loves me so much. He knew that I wanted to go there haha!
That makes me sad that spring break is over, Im sure that you have enjoyed your time off from the "Guercos". (that means rascals). (WHERE COS)
Can you believe that I will be home in 7 months! ahhhh that is mind blowing. Which also means that I will get to speak with you guys in one month on May 10th. WOOO #lastcallhome

So this week was a really cool weekend. We got back from Saltillo on Friday early in the morning. That day we had the civil wedding of Aracely and Lupe. They were baptized that same day and confirmed on Sunday. It was super cool. I am going to miss Elder Ninataype a lot he has been a really great comp. The funny thing is that Elder Miner is going to take my spot with him here in Acuña. I will be seeing both of them once a month. haha

Love you - Elder Stockman

Week -#71 Super excited to get my mind blown by President Rodriguez

Me and my companion.(Elder Ninataype and Elder Stockman.)

Zone Activity #Aleluya

Momma,
First of all... Happy Birthday to my 2 favorite women on earth! Abbie who turned 18 yesterday, and momma tomorrow, (also still 18) haha
Second of all... General conference was awesome! I have never felt so spiritually filled in my whole life. I think that it was a great time to have conference.
Nothing much happened this week, We watched conference and for the 3rd consecutive time I got to watch it in English. It was amazing to hear the prophet's real voice.
We will be going to Saltillo again this week. My companion has to regester for his college clases so we will actually be traveling by night so that he can just do it in the offices, We leave Tuesday night. Super excited to get my mind blown by President Rodriguez again.
We are going to have a really cool baptism this week, it is a family that showed up to church because of a member that invited them. The Brother was actually a member but somehow his membership record was lost and so we have to re baptize him. He is such a character, he is actually excited to have a second chance to get baptized. we are actually having their civil wedding on Friday, and then they are getting baptized that same day.
I hope that you can enjoy the fact that you are getting older (hehe) love you, Im thinking about you guys especially because its your birthdays. I am always praying for each and every member of my favorite family.
Put into practice what you learned from General conference. I know I will be doing the same.
love you!
-Elder Stockman

Papi,
My companion laughed when I told him you thought he was from Mexico... hahaha
He is as american as I am, his parents are both from Peru. He says that his last name is in that wierd native language that you said that you sometimes heard when you were in Bolivia. He is from North Ogden, he went to Weber High.

Haha that is a pretty sweet muscle car, I wish I would have damaged the civic and got to drive that around. haha

haha, I havnt laughed that hard in a while, silly Zach. haha

So this week I also learned a lot from General Conference, I had the opporotunity to watch it in english again. I really liked the talks from Elder Uchtdorf and from Elder Holland. They encouraged me and made me feel better about myself aswell.

Week #70- oops!

In English: Keep of the grass.

Bautismo de Diego Antonio
The Baptism of Diego Antonio.

Momma,
Whoa holy cow I dont understand how you guys are in the General Conference! That is loco! How did you guys get that opporotunidad. That is crazy. My mind is still blown.!

Tell Abbie to remember me when she is famous! haha
By the way im totally downloading this video and showing it to every living soul here in Mexico.

This week we had the Baptism of Diego Antonio. It was a super cool experience. He had been going to church for a long time but we could never get a appiontment in with him. Now that there are vacations for spring break he was home. In the first appointment we put the baptismal date goal with him for 2 days later than the day we met him. The day after he was interviewed, and then the day after that was baptized. I had the awesome experience of confirming him a member of the church. Now that I think about it it was the first time that I have ever confirmed anybody. It was just a really cool testimony to me that God really does put people in our path every single day. He loves everyone of us because we are his children.

I really do love it here in Acuñita its super cool. Im having a blast here with my companion. We get along super well and everything is going well in the area. I love you and I hope that you have a great week!

You are the best mother ever. I love you and Im excited to talk to you again on mothers day. #lastcallhome

Hey Papi hows it going!
Well im loving life here in Acuña, its a really cool place. I feel like the people here are a lot different than the rest of the mission because a lt of the people are from Veracruz. They all came here because there were a lot of job opporotunities.
