Week #82- President Cahoon arrived tonight.

Ha,ha.. A funny newspaper that I found in divisions.

What is up with this!! FRED CHIKEN

Hey Momma!
This week it has been a pretty great week. We took a couple of really great investigators to church. They will be getting baptized on the 9th of July. Who know if I will still be here in Ramos Arizpe or not, haha but either way there is going to be a baptism. The area is going really well. I love it here. The great majority of the members really are great missionaries. They care about the new people. They just need to do their home/visiting teaching.

¿How did Zach convince you guys to get those drums? by the way that is super surreal to see a picture of the inside of the house.
Hey I heard what happened to Trent. That is super crazy! im super glad that everything is ok with him and the other missionaries.

Its Crazy to think that President Cahoon is almost here. He gets here tonight and President Rodriguez leavs tomorrow morning.

Here is a picture of my new President,
President Cahoon and his wife.

This week we have the zone meeting on Tuesday, then on Wednesday we will have the leadership conference with the new president. And then on Thursday we will be having a multi-zone conference with the new President. its also the last week of the transfer. I have so many dear friends and a companion that will be going home next week. I hope that the time doesnt keep flying. After all I only have like 4 1/2 months left. I still have so much work to do its crazy. Love you  and I hope that you have a great week!

Hey Dad!

So this week it was cool to be able to bring a couple of really great investigators to church this week. We are doing super well here in Ramos Arizpe, it is fun to just lose yourself in the work. The only problem is that the day goes by so dang fast. I still feel like there is so much work to do. Im starting to feel really old and my bones and back and feet are starting to creak and ache. haha I guess thats what almost 20 months on the mission does to you.

So within a couple of hours President Cahoon will be here in the misison. President Rodriguez leaves early in the morning tomorrow. It will be sad to see him go but it is also super cool and exciting to be able to have the new mission president.
Anyways I love you and I hope that you have a great week!

Week 81- President Rodriguez's last week

Our Baptism. The little one Wendy asked me to baptize her. When they opened the doors to the font they were all laughing because of the size difference. it was super funny when she asked me to baptize her becuase I knew that it was going to happen like that.
Divisions with Elder Monroy.

hey momma,
Hey What the heck everyone is having a baby! I had no idea about any of that!
That looks like it was a super fun trip! I cant wait to hear all about it!
That place where you went is super high up there. Could you feel the difference?
I know what you mean mom, I have come to know some people from a lot of different faiths here in my time. Its interesting to hear about all of them.

So this week we finally got Juliana and Wendy in the water! they were baptized on tuesday night. It was interesting to see all of the trials that we had with them before it finally happened. And to top it all off, they showed up late to their confirmation and it scared us because we thought that it almost wasnt going to happen. But PHEW! we did it! haha

This is President Rodriguez's last week here in the mission. President Cahoon will be here on next Monday. Its kinda wierd but its cool at the same time. This week I was in the offices in divisions and the Mission President from Monterrey East mission came and dropped off an Elder from Acuña, who President Rodriguez had to relieve because Acuña is a district and there is no stake president. But the mission president is an american and he was the Mayor of St George Utah for 20 years. It was cool to talk with him and then I started feeling a little bit better about having a new president.

Actually also did divisions with Elder Monroy aswell. He is in the same ward as us so it wasnt too far away. They went pretty well, he is a great Elder.

We had to change houses today because the land lords decided to sell the house. It was a hassle to do that today but whatever. We now live in the Center of Ramos Arizpe in the city center in the street Allende. its a lot bigger apartment with 2 floors. We had a recent convert help us move with his little pick up truck. Fun stuff.
Anyways I love you a lot! have a great week!

Hey Dad!
looks like you guys had a great vacation!
i would really like to visit some of those places that you guys went to. It will be neat to be able to go and see new places.

Today we actually had to change houses as well. the dang land lords up and told us that the contract enden and that they are going to be selling the house. We found a great apartment in city center here and it is a lot bigger. We got it approved and we finished cleaning it up and then moved all the stuff in there in the truck of a recent convert.

I did some divisions with Elder Daines the assistant to the president and also with one of our district leaders Elder Monroy. They both went really well and I learned a lot. Its always a great opporotunity to go on divisions and to be able to learn from other Elders and see how they teach and how they work with the members and stuff.

Anyways I really love you and hope that you have a great week!

Week #80- last Zone Conference with President Rodriguez.

Last photo with President Rodriguez and his wife. After 3 years of serving as the Saltillo Mission President they is being released and moving on to a new chapter of their life. Elder Stockman gets very emotional when he talks about his mission president. He has so much love and respect and admiration for him he will always be in his heart.  He has been a huge blessing in Spencer' life.

Eating an ELOTE haha.

Last Leadership Conference with President, he invited all of his ex assistants that were still in the mission to be there.

Hey Momma!
Sounds like you guys are having a great time there on your summer vacations!
I cant believe that you guys ran into good old Zach! haha tell him that he should get a job at Kneaders hahah!
those donuts look rediculiously good, where are they from,?
Hey you went shooting that looks super fun! I didnt think that you liked guns!

So this week I am here Preparing our Zone Conference. it will be that last Zone Conference with President Rodriguez and we will actually be combining the 3 zones here in Saltillo to do it. We have to give a 1 and a half hour training to our zone and then the President will talk with all of us together. I am really excited because they gave us the theme of Chapter 2 from Preach my gospel and so we are going to be speaking about how Our daily study affects our misionary work and also help them to have more effective studies.

We were going to have 2 baptisms this weekend of Yuliana and of Wendy! we are super excited for them and that they will be making this first covenant with our Heavenly Father. Keep them in your prayers so that they can be happy and that they can get Baptized.

Im doing super great here in the area with Elder Hernandez. He is a great guy and a goof. We get along great and he is a super hard working missionary.
I love you and hope that you have a great week!
-Elder Stockman

Hey Dad! That weekly update always make me laugh.
Haha that you are being tight fisted with the air conditioning, where im at that doesnt even exist haha!
I think that I might enjoy that whole indoor climate a lot when I get home haha!
Its interesting to think that if Andrew isnt having as much success where he is then he can get up and move where he is working, but I dont really have that advantage. But I think that it is better the way that I have it because Im learning a lot more. Actually im pretty excited because we are going to be having 2 baptisms this week of Yuliana and of Wendy. We are super excited to help them get baptized and to help them make this first covenant with our Heavenly Father. Im super excited to see when the go down into the water. We are actually expecting to have 2 more baptisms in 2 or 3 weeks. Super Excited!!!

Abbie sent me a picture of her with some dude, I still don´t aprove....

Yeah I was actually thinking the same thing that I really do have to keep swimming when I get home to be able to get married or whatever. haha

I do miss the Myth Busters Marathons haha that is an interesting show, but Im ecxited to be here in the mission, I really cant say that I super miss anything from the world, I should say that I dont miss being part of the world.

So this week we have been preparing our zone conference with the President and it will be his last one. We will actually be combining the 3 zoes of Saltillo and it will be like 60 missionaries. I have come to really Love President and it wont be easy to see him go. But he deserves a nap or 2 haha
anyways I hope that you have a great week!
love

Week #79- Tall, red and handsome.

Elder Hernández and Elder Stockman.

Momma,

So I have to say that I really do like being back in a normal companionship with just one companion. At times I miss the trio, but It was definately necisary to learn and grow from. I have been getting along really well with Elder Hernández. He is a really funny guy. He is from Loma Bonita, Oaxaca. Its really close to Veracruz and so that is why he has an accent of somebody from Veracruz. haha Their accent is really obvious. Actually we have been good friends for a while now. We were in the CCM together and actually a while back he was in my district in Monclova. He is a super nice guy and he is very service oriented. We get along super great. Its funny because it is his first transfer as a zone leader so I have to show him the ropes a little bit you could say. But ihe is really animated and he is a quick learner.

So we are actually going to be having two baptisms this weekend. I am super excited because they are two little girls that we have been working with for a while now. their grandma is an active member of the church. Its always gratifying to be able to find those families where not everyone is a member of the church and to help them all get on the same page. We are excited and we are suer that the ward members are going to be helping them a lot as well.

I cant believe that Abbie graduated Highschool! that blows my mind that she is already that old. HAHa now she is an adult. Zach is also doing so great in school im super proud of that report card. WOW! tell him to keep on doing great! so does that mean that Zach will be going on to middle school right?! wow...

ahhh im still laughing about that picture of the president and the assistants, thats a classic that made me laugh pretty hard haha!
anyways love you and know that you are always in my prayers!
love,

Hey dad!
Im really loving being back in a normal companionship with just one companion. It was definately a good experience to be in a trio but its the lords way that it is 2x2. haha. Needless to say I do miss my last companions.
We will be having our leadership conference this week so I will get to see Elder Villeda. Im super excited to see all of the guys again. We have formed like a brotherhood there in the leadership meetings and its good to see all of my friends again.
So Im really getting along great with Elder Hernández. He is super nice, very service oriented, and he is a hard worker. Its great to get to know a new companion but its different as well. Its his first transfer as a Zone Leader and were just here showing the ropes I guess you could say.

We are super excited because we are going to be baptizing 2 people this weekend. We have been working with these two little girls for a while now. They are Yuliana and Wendy. Their grandma is an active member and they basically live with her so they will have suppory from her. Its cool to be able to find those families where not everyone is a member and to help them get all on the same page. We are working with there parents aswell. ¡Ojala que se animen!

anyways I hope that you have a great week and that you could enjoy your vacations. You are in my prayers as always!
